Back in 2021, Valve knew we existed, but they had no reason to trust in our work yet. Therefore, we had only one shot to tell them we want to do more than help paying the $840,000.00 prize pool. Our pitch was rather an emotional one: We know this community, we know their struggles, let us tell this is story in our own language.
As for the idea, it was quite simple: In Peru, the best players came from the neighborhood. The past season, a foreign company portrayed us as jungle doodles, when the Dota players from the south are street warriors. To promote this circuit, we recorded a music video with one of the most important rappers in the local urban world: Stick, champion of the Red Bull Batalla de Gallos (the most prestigious rap competition of the region).

Writing this song was a great joy for me. The idea of promoting the league with a music video was applauded by the international community, as shown in Reddit (a forum that the Dota 2 players use to show their opinions on the scene).
