Lima is a diverse city, full of culture. And among its sub-worlds, there’s an overwhelming passion for Dota 2, Peru’s second most popular sport after soccer (though, to be honest, we fare much better in Dota than our soccer team does).


We achieved one of those unimaginable milestones when we produced a Major event in our country. An event that only the world’s largest production companies were allowed to handle. True to my principles and those of the whole team, we made a bold decision: Instead of opting for a safe, classic RGB ‘gamer’ style, we decided to unite two cultures: the spirit of chicha music and the drive of Peruvian Dota players.


Thus, the concept of the Lima Major was born, a parallel between what it means to make it for traditional families and local gamers. An emotional union between the stories of our artists, who were once marginalized and are now stars, and the pro-players of Dota 2.


From the conceptualization of the event, writing over 50 scripts (for social media content and live-streams), to the creation of an anthem in collaboration with renowned musicians, the Lima Major content was my loveletter to every friend I’ve seen working hard to make a name in a country that still treats them as weirdos.
